Fitch Ratings-London-28 October 2009: Fitch Ratings today views positively the main proposals set out in the UK Financial Services Authority’s (FSA) Mortgage Market review (MMR) which include the use of a standardised approach to assessing consumers’ ability to repay a mortgage - including verification of a borrower’s income for new mortgages.
