TransUnion says serious delinquencies fell slightly in the first quarter. Fitch says serious delinquencies on subprime loans packaged into mortgage-backed securities fell a second month in a row. Two reports released Monday raise hope that the country’s tide of home-loan defaults may finally be starting to recede, but the picture is far from clear.

S.Korea mortgage loans decline slightly in Sept (Reuters via Yahoo! Singapore News)

SEOUL, Oct 1 (Reuters) - Mortgage loans by banks and non-bank financial companies in South Korea fell slightly during the first 19 business days of September, data from a financial regulator showed on Thursday.
