Mortgage lending falls in June

LONDON (SHARECAST) - Mortgage lending by the major UK banks dipped in June, showing that housing market activity remained subdued. The number of mortgages approved for people buying a home fell to 34,813 from 36,418 in May, according to the latest data from the British Bankers’ Association.
