Choose Bergen County for Your New Home

If you’re planning moving to New Jersey, consider Bergen County for your new home. The county has a lot going for it. Read on to find out more.

You won’t have a hard time finding a residence in the county as it’s the most populous one in New Jersey at just around 900,000 people. Located within the New York City Metropolitan Area, Bergen County provides its residence with plenty to do. As of 2000, Bergen County was the 25th wealthiest county in the country, with a median family income of $78,638.

Even though it’s such a great place to live, you’ll still want to spend some time finding the right realtor before you decide moving there. As the county is quite large, try to find a realtor who has experience in the city you wish to live. For example, if you were looking at Ridgewood homes, it wouldn’t help to have a realtor who was only experienced with places in Saddle River, New Jersey.

You’ll also want to ask for references and follow up those contacts to be sure the realtor leaves their customers happy and treats them well throughout the process.

Lastly, you should give credence to those realtors you have a better chemistry with. You could be working with this person for some time, after all. It’s better to search for someone you’ll enjoy sharing that time with.
